Installation and Service Technician Job Purpose: Serves customers by installing and servicing coding and labelling systems and products.

Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.

Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.

Maintains repport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.

Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Experience: A Professional technician with few years experience in specifying and implementing integrated systems combining IT and real-time software with electronic, electrical and mechanical elements. A proven track record of managing and implementing projects, at all stages from concept through to completion in a structured environment such as ISO9001.
Technical skills: Capable of working as technical team member and hands on in multidisciplinary engineering projects. Key technical areas of expertise will include some or all of: Industrial Control Systems, Real-time systems, PLC knowledge, Networking (TCP/IP and RS485)knowledge.
Qualifications: A relevant Engineering Degree (Electronic, systems) or, exceptionally, equivalent relevant industrial experience.
Working style: Capable of working as part of a team or working alone as required. Needs to know own limits of competence in order to seek support when required. Always using own initiative to ensure successful completion of goals. The job role requires extensive liaison with internal and external customers. Strong communication skills and ethos are essential.
Customer skills: Capable of working with customers, colleagues and suppliers to make a technical and commercial success of integrating 869-TR products, across different organisations and skill levels. Capable of obtaining information from and actively persuading contacts who do not have a good understanding or have limited knowledge of the technical issues.
Languages: Good level of English in both verbal as well as written communication.
