| Job Description |
Nortel Netas is seeking Product Support Engineers for its Center of Excellence Product Support Organization in Istanbul for supporting ACE (Agile Communication Environment) product.
Nortel's Agile Communication Environment software extends unified communications to business applications and enables new ways of doing business, by exposing key communications capabilities like click-to-call, IM, location and presence. These capabilities can be easily and rapidly integrated into business applications and processes. Benefits include improved business agility, accuracy and speed, leading to increased revenue opportunities, lower CAPEX & OPEX, and higher productivity.
The Nortel Agile Communication Environment leverages Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Services to facilitate the development of Communications Enabled Applications (CEA) and business processes (CEBP), which are key to addressing the challenge of Hyper connectivity. It works with both Nortel equipment (e.g., PBXs and soft switches), and those of other vendors, and is future-proof for next-generation switches.
The support team will provide global support to ACE customers globally by fixing network and software problems and resolving outage conditions. This position requires database and operating system know-how. Experience on computer networking and software programming would be an asset. Communication and soft skills are as important as technical skills as the tasks involve continuous communication with customers and various teams in Nortel.

| | | | | Preferred Skills | We are looking for Graduates in Computer or Electronics/Telecomunication Engineering with experience or knowledge in a number of the below areas:
• Experience in Telecom, ISP or IT industry with a good understanding of computer networks and database systems.
• VoIP experience/knowledge (Carrier or Enterprise) to be considered.
• Support or operation experience on Database Systems (MySQL, Oracle) and Operating Systems (Red Hat Linux) would be preferred.
• Computer networking know-how would be an asset.
• Java, XML, SQL, Perl, PHP, VB scripting, API on IBM Webshere knowledge would be an asset.
• For male candidates, having completed military service or deferred at least 2 years.
• Superior English language skills as the position involves communication and reporting in English.
• Product / customer support methodology know-how would be an asset
