Arup is one of the world top engineering and consultancy firms. We are seeking a Junior Geotechnical Engineer for our İstanbul Office to strengthen our Geotechnical Engineering Team.
- Bachelor degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from reputable universities
- MSc in Geotechnical Engineering would be an advantage,
- Minimum 3 years of design experience, preferably in design of shallow and deep foundations, slope stability and earthworks,
- Experience in specifying, interpretation and management of site investigations and laboratory testing,
- Experience in infrastructure projects desirable,
- Understanding of various construction techniques used locally and internationally,
- Working knowledge of standard computer programs (MS Office, CAD, GIS),
- Knowledge and experience on common numerical analysis and data management software as a user (e.g. Oasys Geo Suite, Geo Studio, Rocscience, Plaxis, gINT),
- Experience on design to local and major international codes,
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken,
- Working experience in multinational and English speaking environment,
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and to take on new challenges,
- Ability to liaise and communicate within integrated multidisciplinary teams,
- Effective communication and presentation skills,
- Strong planning and organization skills,
- Available to work in flexible hours to catch the tight deadlines,
- No travel restrictions (national & international),
- Have a driver’s licence,
- For male candidates military service must be completed.

The successful candidate will work under supervision of senior leaders and project managers.
- Preparing geotechnical desk study reports,
- Planning, overseeing and managing on site investigations and laboratory testing,
- Managing and interpreing of site investigation data,
- Performing calculations and preparing reports through all design stages under supervision of senior staff,
- Preparing design drawings and technical specifications under supervision of senior staff.
