Arup is one of the world top engineering and consultancy firms. We are seeking a Senior Rail Engineer for our İstanbul Office to strengthen our Railway Engineering Team.
- Bachelor and/or Master degree in Civil Engineering from reputable universities,
- Excellent command of English both written and verbal,
- At least 10 years of job experience in railway engineering design,
- Professional experience in Tendering,
- Good working knowledge on Railways as a system,
- Experience in design and delivery of small and large scale complex railway projects,
- Proficient technical knowledge on one of the railway design discipline,
- Working experience in multinational and English speaking environment,
- Ability to interface and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams,
- Effective communication and presentation skills,
- Team player, result-oriented with strong planning and organization skills,
- Ability to develop and maintain good relationship with the clients, willing to grow in an international environment,
- Ability to check the conformity of the studies to the contracts and to the preliminary BOQs,
- Familiar to work with Turkish and EN standards,
- Motivated, initiative, interested in technical topics,
- Available to work in flexible hours,
- Proficient in MS Office Applications,
- No travel restrictions (national & international),
- For male candidates military service must be completed.

The railway group works with few public and private clients in a variety of rail projects. The successful candidate will be able to work under the supervision of senior leaders.
- To support Railway Group Leader developing strategic client relationships, preparing bid documents, working at the senior levels on high profile work to tight timescales to deliver, and developing the rail team further,
- To identify and understand customer’s needs according to the technical specifications provided,
- To coordinate with the multidisciplinary teams to prepare technical and commercial offers following the internal business rules of the company,
- To maintain positive relations based on trust with the internal and external clients,
- To keep and update all the records of all tendering documents,
- To prepare calculations and reports in Concept, Preliminary, and Detail Design Stages in one of the rail discipline areas,
- To maintain technical interaction with all project team members and external consultants to deliver projects on time and to budget with quality output.
