Event & Banquet Executive

Functions as the leader of the hotel’s segmented events and banquet sales effort and responsible for implementing the segment sales strategy and achieving segment revenue goals, property revenue goals and guest satisfaction. Achieves personal booking goals and makes recommendations on booking goals of direct reports.

Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, capacities and dimensions of meeting space and basic operational needs of all operating departments.
Selling of banquet functions and rooms if included in the function.
To secure deposits and maintain established credit policies.
Sales calls-administration in banquet office and supervision of banquet functions.
Coordinates with relevant departments for any special requirements of the guest prior and during the functions.
Assist in the development of sales and marketing plans including establishing sales goals.
Facilitate excellent guest service for new and existing convention customers.
Develop a contact database.
Prepare a monthly definite booking report at the conclusion of each week, and monthly pace reports
Coordinate all event details to include food & beverage functions, wedding ceremonies, audio visual needs, billing and any other special needs clients/customers may have
Directly oversee the actual set up and service of contracted functions by giving specific menu information to the servers.
Conduct monthly departmental meetings to provide vital information,and provide a regular forum for improving departmental communication.
Co-operation with Reactive Team, Group Sales.
Naming lists of confirmed groups together with reservations office.
Coordinate details of daily events, event orders including the internal distribution.
Participation to Sales meetings.
Performs all the duties designated by Director of Sales.
Good presentation and platform skills.
Proactive thinking, accountability, persuading.
Opera knowledge is an asset
Hotel experince is a must.
