What to Expect as a Delphi Engineer at Crossover

Crossover is looking for software engineers that are ready to utilize their experience in a comprehensive and multidimensional role. Responsibilities will include writing and debugging both unit and integration tests for our enterprise class business software products. You will also be expected to effectively execute the transition of current code to new technologies and update third party components. Lastly, you will take ownership of the process of identifying dependencies and performing code reviews, helping us to maintain Crossover’s standard of excellence throughout the process.

If you want to work with the best, you have to be the best. A successful Delphi Engineer at Crossover will demonstrate the following qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer using Delphi on Windows

• A ruthless commitment to testing the code you’ve written

• Extensive problem solving skills

• An ability to communicate clearly regarding complex issues (in English)

• Good understanding of current enterprise software technologies and development practices/tools, including virtual environments, source control, remote development, issue tracking, build and test automation, and networking management

• Proficiency in the following skills and technologies is mandatory:

• Delphi XE

• Project JEDI Libraries such as JCL, JWAPI and JWSCL

• Low level programming in Delphi on Windows, eg consuming COM objects from Delphi code

• Relational databases such as SQL server, Oracle, MySQL, etc

• Design patterns and EDA

• Test automation and TDD – writing unit tests and automated functional tests

• Networking, including familiarity with RFCs, network protocols such as IP, TCP, DNS, HTTP, LDAP and others, and other network related technologies

• Proficiency in the following is desired but not mandatory:

• C# development

• VBScript

• Windows Installer / WIX

• Linux package managers and shell scripting

Compensation
