DAMCO MANAGER TURKEY&GEORGIA - ISTANBUL, TURKEY

Damco Turkey is looking for a General Manager for Turkey Cluster.
Your role will be to lead the logistics business with a strategic mindset, identifying opportunities and focusing on delivering set of financial and business targets in accordance to the Global Logistics Strategy, in one of the most promising economies of the European region.
You will take overall ownership of the financial performance of Damco in Turkey and Georgia, including budgeting and setting of KPI’s. You will actively lead and develop your management team to achieve the targeted results, supporting and encouraging ownership, innovative approaches and the overall motivation of the employees in Damco.

Main Responsibilities:
• Grant sustainable profitability on the high end of the industry, strengthening current product portfolio and customer base.
• Develop, communicate and execute a clear country business plan in line with regional goals.
• Actively participate in the regional leadership team, contributing to its future development focus and strategic planning initiatives
• Maximize DAMCO procurement power through excellence of interaction with local Key Suppliers
• Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure Operational Excellence for all services
• Ensure performance measurement in line and above Company standards
• Ensure mitigation of legal and operational risks
• Management accounting and consolidation of logistics financials
• Plan and execute budget and other reporting processes
• Support and drive the promotion of Damco services on the Turkish and Georgian markets
• Capitalize as much as possible on current Maersk Group clients by improving the penetration of DAMCO services

The successful candidate will have:
• Minimum 8-10 years of successful relevant experience in Management
• Experience within international trade, sourcing, retail or logistics/inventory management
• Financial and operational understanding of an international supply chain
• Fluent English
• Entrepreneurial spirit and leadership
• Excellent Team building and People Management skills
• Excellent commercial awareness
• Passion, initiative and drive to continuously develop clients portfolio with creativity and innovation
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Proven track record of delivering results
