İş Tanımı

The Media Planning Executive sits within the Turkish Marketing & Promotions Team.  The role is responsible for implementing, co-ordinating and evaluating the on-air communications strategy for DNIs FTA network(s) in Turkey according to defined strategy of the Marketing & Promotions Manager. 

By applying the principles of media planning, marketing and advertising; the Media Planning Executive will work closely with the Broadcast Schedule Operations Coordinator to execute promotion and graphics plans to create the most effective and editorially sound presentation schedule.

The Media Planning Executive will also be in communication with wider Emerging Business channel/marketing and media planning teams and collaborate with them when needed. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Promo Strategy and Placement
  • Create campaign media plans to deliver reach and frequency targets
  • Using IBMS channel management software, manually placing promotions into the schedules in advance of transmission
  • Ensure campaigns are placed in schedules in accordance with wider 360º marketing objectives and according to RTUK guidelines

 

Production:

1) Create the promo asset IDs in IBMS channel management system for each promo campaign and presentation element, ensuring accurate entry of dates and tags to enable correct productio

 

2) Create the production list for daily menu elements and make changes whenever there are schedule changes

3) Liaise with creative team to monitor promo delivery is on time and in the event of delays or programming changes, amend schedules and materials accordingly

 

 

 

Commercial Analysis:

1) Prepare weekly ad sales analysis for the business, reporting on commercial levels

 

2) Make recommendations for minutage and clock amendments based on historical sales and sales projections

 

3) Liaise with commercial teams regarding placement and creation of sponsorships or brand partnerships and communicate to relevant stakeholders

 

 

 

RTUK Compliance:

1) Ensure that promo, graphics and break strategy is in line with RTUK minutage and editorial regulations

 

2)Work with Compliance & Scheduling Manager to ensure that the channel elements and promo minutage are fully compliant with RTUK regulations

 

3)Analyse playlists to ensure that Kamu Spotu placement and minutage is correct

 

 

 

Editorial:

1) Ensure editorial integrity of junction content and messaging

2) Advise on number and durations of editorial filler required to ensure channel breaks look optimum to viewers and to reduce promo fatigue

3) Review post-TX output to ensure accuracy and effectiveness

4) Monitor competitor breaks and on air strategy

 

 

Work closely with/cover for Broadcast Schedule Operations Coordinator:

 

1)Work closely with BSO Coordinator to place promos according to available minutage

2) Communicate deliverables of promos and graphics to BSO and advise or amend schedules where necessary

3) Manage late changes to campaigns and communicate implications to on-air and BSO and amend schedules where necessary

4)Cross train on essential functions of BSO Coordinator to enable cover for holidays and absence

 

  • Deputise for and assist Marketing & Promotions Manager when required
  • Ability to analyse commercial data and compile reports
  • Ability to make strategic decisions whilst under pressure of very tight deadlines
  • Numerate and analytical with close attention to detail
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Planning and organisation skills with the ability to meet fixed deadlines

Aranan Nitelikler

  • Experience in Media Planning or Presentation Scheduling in a broadcast television or media agency is advantageous, although other media experience considered
  • Experience of and appreciation of RTUK broadcasting regulations is advantageous
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting data
  • An appreciation of creative issues
  • Interest in and knowledge of television output and Discovery Networks in particular
  • Education - university level or higher
  • Computer literate with advanced level Excel
  • Working proficiency in English is essential
