PRODUCTION MANAGER

We are looking for a “PRODUCTION MANAGER” for our German centered client, which operates in Rail Systems and produces; Cable Garments, Electromechanical Systems, Contact Components, Electric Clutch Units etc.

Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customers’ expectations with using the company resources in the most economic way. Ensuring implementation and maintenance of the quality and environment management system. Ensuring the respect of legal requirements and safety rules. Ensuring production flow, product quality and delivery reliability in the manufacturing lines.

We are looking for candidates that are able to execute both Leading and Processing Tasks defined below,

Leading Tasks

• Altering the General Manager or the management team if stop of production is needed in case of non-conformities regarding product quality, safety, manufacturing process, operator performance, production flow, machines & means of production, availability of raw material, cleanliness and order.
• Management of workers in production, warehouse and incoming inspection
• Respect the rules and initiate necessary actions according to the quality management system
• Ensuring the work safety, health and environmental requirements in the production, warehouse, office and shipping zone
• Monitoring and reporting the KPI's to the General Manager and the Management Team
• Ensuring the product requirements regarding storage and transport
• Monitoring and supporting the introductional training of new operators. Ensuring the respect of the internal rules.

Process Tasks

• Ensuring that all work stations are ready for production (regarding tooling, means of production, documents, ergonomics, cleanliness & order, etc. )
• Initiation and monitoring corrective actions for product quality and production productivity.
• Ensuring that manufacturing documents – inspection protocol, output recording, defect recording, checklists – are correctly and completely fullfilled and archived.
• Solve issues in case of non-conformities (e.g. wrong quantities on bill of metariel, missing tooling, missing production material, incorrect or incomprehensive documents), non-conforming product quality and non-respect of deadlines (material, finished parts, etc.)
• Plan the machine and production concepts together with the project management.
• Define the specification and needs of new machines and/or toolings after clearance with the general manager.
• Support the project team in case of the routing plan for existing RFQs.
• Checking material availability and releasing production orders in the system.
• Coordination of weekly capacity planning of the production.
• Longterm personnel planning.
• Ensure the maintenance of machines / means of production.
• Realization of 5S-audits and initiating actions regarding production, office, warehouse, internal transport or shipment.
• Surveying the packing, shipment of goods and the delivery deadlines.
• Recording unplanned material withdrawals and verifying them.
• Organization of the storage places and packing regarding cleanliness, safety, order, reaction time and environment with ensuring customer requirements.
• Ensure the correct storing and withdrawing raw material and finished parts.
• Ensure the right an economical packaging for shipment with respect on the quality of the products.
