Chief Accountant

An international company with HQ’s in Europe, which is very customer oriented and further expending their up and running operations in Turkey, is currently seeking to fill the position Chief Accountant & Finance Responsible, located in Istanbul, to support and co-lead the company with the country manager while reporting to the CFO in European HQ’s.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the day-to-day accounting processes, and general ledger
• Manage all annual, month-end and quarterly closing activities
• Provide monthly balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow reports
• Review routine reporting of financials
• Monitor tax related issues and legal processes
• Manage banking relations and funding issues
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, payroll, and fixed assets
• Manage cash flow and review/report cash related risks; assist with preparation of cash flow forecast
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive implementation of solutions
• Keep competent and professional contact to all stakeholders involved, including public authorities, auditors, tax advisors, banks, shareholders, corporate controller and general manager

 Requirements:

• Bachelors or Master Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting in a Turkish university
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Turkish accounting,
• Knowledge in VUK and IFRS is must,
• Auditing, controlling and management reporting approach Leadership and management skills to manage a team of two accountants and one controller
• Mother tongue Turkish, fluent in English or German
