Financial Controller

Our client is a well know International key player in its industry. The company operates in many countries worldwide.

The company is respected in the market for its top solutions and guaranteed quality of their products. The operations in Turkey are growing rapidly. The Turkish Headoffice is located on the European side of Istanbul.

We are currently looking for a Financial Controller who will be part of the Turkish Management Team.

Your tasks:

• The primary responsibility of the Controller is budget planning, control & reporting (regular and ad hoc reporting) and tax handling functions
• The Controller directs all aspects of finance, accounting and risk management functions for the organization
• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors
• Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
• Complies with state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions
• Ensures operation of equipment by establishing preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Developing policies and procedures for the financial activities for the organization, including forecasts, budget development and management
• Is responsible for directing an organization's accounting functions (outsourced)
• Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to top management
• Overseeing areas of risk for organization and acting as a resource to senior management regarding such matters
• Advises and consults organizational leaders on all financial matters
• Acts as a coordinator for regional HR topics

Qualifications:

• Education a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a company or division of a large
• Corporation in a financial controlling area
• Professional Certification desired (Accounting, Management Accounting, Tax)
• Local accounting principles/ tax knowledge is a desire Experience with managing processes
• Able to develop and follow audit, accounting & corporate finance standards
• Experience with budget development and tracking budget expenses
• Able to analyze the information & help to manage the company’s performance
• Able to effectively use a financial software
• Able to complete the reporting in the required quality and timing
• Matured professional personality
• Excellent communication skills (presenting and explaining results, giving presentations)
• Good command level of English, native Turkish
• Able to work under the pressure and within the tight deadlines
