HR Manager – Global Law Firm (Istanbul)
Our client, a prestigious global law firm, seeks a HR Manager for their Istanbul office. The
role entails managing human resources by recruiting, selecting, conducting orientations, training,
coaching, counselling, and disciplining staff; planning,monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job
contributions, evaluating performance, ensuring appropriate compensation;resolving problems, and
implementing change as needed.
The successful candidate will thrive in a global, fast-paced, results-driven, informal, and open
environment that is highly collaborative and communicative at all levels. Candidates should have a
strong intellect, be analytical, and effectively communicate through reasoning and fact. Our client is
seeking a strong transformational leader who is able to develop opinions whilst maintaining an open

push through to get results are essential for success. The candidate will be adept at balancing strategy

Strategy
- Implement the Firm’s strategic goals that are aligned to people and development
- Provide management information to assist in decision making & planning
Resourcing
- Manage and coordinate the recruitment of legal and business support staff; conduct interviews
- Manage the new joiner’s administration and induction process
- Work closely with head office
Employee Relations
- Strengthen and maintain relationships
- Advise on employment issues and apply the relevant practical and commercial decisions
- Advise employees on Firm policies and procedures
- Act as a central source of communication between departments
Performance Management
- Lead the annual evaluation process
- Collect feedback in relation to the end of the probation period or end of the internship
period in regard to contract extensions
Compensation
- Liaise regarding salaries and bonuses based on evaluation results
- Advice financial compensation in accordance with the Firm’s salary structure
Leadership/Teamwork
- Actively coach and mentor the team
- Support team decisions even if personal views differ
- Build relationships within the team and with other departments
- Create an environment that values individual perspectives while driving towards common goals
Other
- Implement HR policies, budgets and programs in line with organizational requirements
- Ensure all databases and office policies & procedures are up-to-date
- Manage employment contracts and personnel files
- Manage trainings and professional development
- Supervise the exit procedures
Desired Qualifications, Skills, Experience
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Law, Economics/Business, or related field
- Relevant and in-depth HR experience in a law firm or professional services firm including an
understanding of business and HR strategy and planning
- Demonstrated skill and ability to anticipate and understand business issues and to lead
organizational change
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to think and consult strategically
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints – multitasking skills required at all times
- Good negotiating skills in both Turkish and English languages
