Event Executive

This position functions as the strategic Sales power of the hotel’s Banquets/Catering Sales Department and responsible for the property's reactive and proactive sales efforts. The position shares responsibility for achieving revenue goals, guest and associate satisfaction and the financial performance of the department. Manages event planning functions and staff on a daily basis.  Position oversees the administrative processes associated with the pre-event and post-event phases of an event and the associated transitions between all event phases. Ensures a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales while consistently delivering a high level of service.  Ensures the team maximizes revenue opportunities by up-selling and accurately forecasting (catering, social events, Weddings, Gala Dinners and group rooms) all events.


Main responsibilities include following duties:

• Handles the social events and last minute pop-up quotations.
• Actively upsell of each business opportunity is expected to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Expected to achieve the personal and the team revenue goals. 
• Ensures that the turned over business is handled properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. 
• Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
  
• Provides service to our customers in order to grow the account on behalf of Marriott International, across the enterprise.
  

• At least 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Tourism  Management
• Minimum 2 years experience in in Catering / Banquet Sales discipline in an international hotel chain
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to focus attention on details and to handle multiple tasks
• Result driven, proactive and reliable personality
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English
• No military obligation for male candidates / at least 2 years postponement
