COST CONTROLLER / MALİYET KONTROLÖRÜ

Job Brief:

Can you oversee inventory and cost management related activities of the property?Have you carried out periodic market surveys, analysed findings and submitted reports to the hotel Director of Finance & Business Support, Director of Culinary Creations and Director of Food & Beverage on raw material prices, quality and availability in the market (local and surrounding areas)? Have you, in cooperation with the Director of Culinary Creations and Director of Food & Beverage established standard portion sizes for all the outlets, post them in proper locations in kitchen and monitor on a continuous basis to see that they are adhered to? Are you capable of conducting regular spot check on merchandise received daily to determine that it conforms to specifications as to weight, trim and count that it has been properly invoiced? Are you able to review any discrepancies with the receiving clerk to ascertain the situation.Are you ready to establish potential food cost for each outlet and update the same every month for management's reference? Have you in your past role participated in taking monthly inventories of food and beverage assisted by departmental team members to report excess/shortages? If you have answered yes to all of our questions above, you might be our Nikki fit for this role. 

Job Requirements:

Minimum 2 yrs in similar role within a hotel environment. Familiar with yield tests and portion tests and its analysis of results. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is the minimum academic requirement. Past pre-opening experience is an added advantage. Ability to work with integrity and administratively organised and able to document all transactions using Microsoft Office related applications at minimum. Other traits include and are not limited to attention to details, organization, accounting, data entry skills, general math skills, financial software, analyzing information , attention to detail, thoroughness, reporting research results and verbal and written communication.  The role reports to Finance & Business Support Manager.

• University/College degree in a related discipline (Hotel Management and Tourism Vocational High School’s)
• Fluent in Turkish and English
• Very good computer skills, proficiency in MS Office applications
• 5 star hotel and resort experience, pre-opening and operation knowledge in an international chain hotel
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Turkish Citizenship
• Non-smoker
