WAITER / GARSON

Job Brief:

Can you educate guests on menu offerings and drink specials for them to select from? Are you ready to take food and beverage orders, seat guests when a lifestyle specialist is not available and ensure that the requests of guests are met and delivered in a timely manner? Are you aware that the role is responsible for providing the first impressions of our guests and, therefore, must welcome and greet as well as serve guests to ensure they carry with them fond memories of their dining experience? Are you familiar with the entire restaurant operations and its menu & beverage offerings to maintain high standards of use up-selling techniques to promote restaurant services and facilities? Do you know that your role serves as the liaison between associates and guests and include communicating service orders to the kitchen, acknowledge and welcome guests according to restaurant protocols and present checks to guests for payment?  If you have answered yes to all of our questions above, you might be our Nikki fit for this role.  

Job Requirements:

Good level of communication in written and spoken english and local language is a must. Individual has to be outgoing with a   professional demeanour yet pleasant and approachable personality and attractive appearance and have the ability to handle guests with charisma and charm. Good interpersonal and problem solving skills are a plus. The role must be well groomed at all times.  The role reports to the Senior Service Coordinator or in the absence Assistant Restaurant Manager.

• University/College degree in a related discipline (Hotel Management and Tourism Vocational High School’s)
• Fluent in Turkish and English
• 5 star hotel and resort experience, pre-opening and operation knowledge in an international chain hotel
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Turkish Citizenship
• Non-smoker
