CLEANLINESS & SANITISATION MANAGER

Job Brief:

Can you be responsible for overseeing the cleanliness of the kitchen, storerooms, workrooms and equipment and making sure that they are in good working order? Are you aware that you are required to supervise associates in cleaning and sanitizing these areas for the benefit of the guests and also to provide a healthy working environment for the associates? Do you know that you will also oversee the dishwashing, cleaning and shining of the silver, and storing foodstuff and supplies in the fridge and pantries, inspects the areas after cleaning to ensure that the work complies with the hygiene standards of the company and the local health department? Are you ready to keep track of the state of the equipment and requisitions for repair or replacement in the event that they are not in good working order as well as report breakages?  Are you capable of rostering and schedulling associates, outsourcing casual workforce, dealing with potential chemical vendors and training associates to perform their duties to its optimum? If you have answered yes to all of our questions above, you might be our Nikki fit for this role.  

Job Requirements:

Past experience in a 5 star hotel in a similar managerial role is essential. Familiarity with  types of cutlery and crockery like china, silverware, and glassware. Good interpersonal and organisation skills and patience. Familiarity with Microsoft excel and detailed oriented. Good communications skills in both English and local language is essesntial. Familiarity with network of vendors available is a plus. The role reports to the Director of Culinary Creations.

• University/College degree in a related discipline (Hotel Management and Tourism Vocational High School’s)
• Fluent in Turkish and English
• Very good computer skills, proficiency in MS Office applications
• 5 star hotel and resort experience, pre-opening and operation knowledge in an international chain hotel
• Professional knowledge of preparation and effective operation of departmental budget
• Senior leadership experience
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Turkish Citizenship
• Non-smoker
