Reservation Agent

We are looking for a “Reservation Agent” to work in our Hotel Renaissance Izmir which is a part of Marriott International Hotel chain. Marriott Hotels has been established in 1927 and is the most growing leading company in Tourism Sector with more than 4000 brand Hotels over the world. JOB SUMMARY 

Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type. Verify availability of room type and rate. Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers. Accommodate and document special requests. Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations. Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue. Input and access data in reservation system. Indicate special room reservation types (e.g., complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates, and wholesale reservations) by inputting the correct code and rate into the reservation system. Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.

*Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry.

*Graduated from the University of the Tourism and Hospitality, Management or related departments of the Universities.

*Goodcommand of English, in writing and speaking 

* Having valid Travel agency and Company contacts

* Ability to think analytically

* Having strong written and verbal communication skills 

* Telephone Etiquette Skills

* Successful in stress management

* Having ownership

* Good in working with targets & capable of budgeting and reporting

* Ability be proactive and to think creatively
