DESIGN MANAGER

INTERNATIONAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT FIRM IS LOOKING FOR FULL TIME DESIGN MANAGER FOR ALMATY, KAZAKHSTAN

Position Description:    

Our International Project Management company is seeking a Design Manager who will have the responsibility of managing design (done by others) for an HOSPITAL project in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Reports to the Project Manager. 

Design Manager should be extremely innovative, client driven and creative. Managers often collaborate on projects with their colleagues, delegate tasks and check for quality and consistency. Managers also meet with clients, listen to their project specifications and translate their requests into designs.

 

Project Description:              

Medical Center, Academic Medicine and Comprehensive Healthcare Solutions will be a regional medical center will support basic and applied research.

The master plan is on 6.9 hectares and will be comprised of three buildings, built in three phases. This proposal is for Phase 1: built on two hectares the 39,000 square-meter,150-bed acute care hospital is composed of support space, diagnostic and treatment rooms, outpatient and inpatient facilities, mechanical rooms, and public spaces, and will be built to Joint Commission International (JCI) standards. 

Physical Demands: 

Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Qualifications: 

Candidates should have a  Degree in Arhchitecture and Design. Minimum 12 years of experience (Hospital Project experience is a must) 

Work experience with International Designers.

Strong computer skills and familiar with Microsoft office programs is required. 

Very strong English oral & written communication skills are a must.

Time management and personal effectiveness skills are essential as are good communications, organization and computer skills.

Motivation to live in Almaty for 2-3 years.

Able to start within 2 weeks.
