Finance Director

Our company is a leading manufacturing and marketing company for its brands of vehicle components as well as for the materials it supplies to the industry, out of its plant in East Marmara region. The products are distributed in Turkey and also exported mainly to Europe, complying with all international standards and regulations.

Our headquarters is in Levent, Istanbul and we are looking for a Finance Director to plan, lead and control the finance, accounting and the related administrative functions. You will be part of a growing, innovative, internationally oriented company and, as a business partner to the CEO and other executives, you will be expected to add value upon implementing creative financial management strategies.

Key Tasks:

• Lead the organization in establishing yearly objectives and work plans, direct the budgetary planning, and monitor the performance and costs management processes versus the annual budget, in cooperation with the business unit managers.
• Develop and maintain capital budget, review and recommend on investment projects, pursue and apply all incentives and oversee the appropriate capital expenditures.
• Develop financial plans and maintain regular financial reports, analyze results and develop recommendations.
• Ensure preparation and communication of financial statements and annual reports in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Steer the application of an advanced ERP package being implemented and participate in IT and change management processes it is imposing.
• Undertake and manage cash flow planning and cash, supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable issues and provide support to collections activities.
• Administer the accounting department, develop and manage systems, processes, tools and controls to ensure proper execution of all accounting functions.
• Oversee the company’s legal affairs; ensure regulatory compliance regarding laws and practices, administer tax issues, insurance programs and track asset management.

Key Qualifications:

• Education in Finance, Accounting or Business, a Master Degree would be a plus.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Several years of performance, strong financial and operational experience with emphasis on cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid practice in functioning with ERP packages and use of software for accounting and financial, in addition to advanced personal computing ability.
• Hard worker, self-driven, willing and able to get involved with the basics and detailsof the day to day financial operations.
• Familiarity with global business, international finance, Joint Ventures, M&A and investment projects.
• No restriction to travel, valid driving license and able to drive.
