Electrical Team Leader

General    

UNES Enerji İşletme ve Bakım A.Ş. is the special purpose vehicle that was incorporated on the 28th December 2012 through which ESB International (ESBI) and UNIT International S.A. (UNIT) intend to provide Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services to Yeni Elektrik Üretim A.Ş 865MW CCGT power station at Dilovasi/Gebze.

Key Duties                                                

 Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrical Team Leader will be responsible for the following functions

General

• Electrical Team Leader for the maintenance services of Yeni Elektrik Power Station.
• Reporting to the Maintenance Manager
• Electrical Team leader will have responsibility for the planning, control and supervision of electrical maintenance of the generating station plant while maintaining the highest safety standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out authorised roles under the safety rules
• Supervise the electrical function and achieve agreed targets
• Sets objectives for his team and evaluates personnel on a regular basis
• Comply with corporate and statutory safety and environmental obligations
• Develop appropriate maintenance procedures and guidelines.
• Train and develop staff
• Liaise with other departments as required or directed
• Maintains relations with all suppliers of services
• Makes technical comparisons of offers of suppliers and contractors
• Monitors budget variances on a regular basis
• Handle the company’s resources cost effectively
• Represent the company in a positive image at all times
• Exercise confidentiality of all information handled
• Show initiative and add to a positive working environment

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• B.Sc. Degree from Electrical Engineering Departments and extensive power plant or process industry experience in their core discipline
• Strong technical knowledge on all electrical equipment including Generators, transformers, motors and switchgear
• A good command of written and spoken English is essential
• Supervisory experience and a proven ability to organise and prioritise work are essential
• Experience in the operation or maintenance of CCGT power plant
• Good IT skills would be required
