W Istanbul embraces 136 guest rooms, featuring Okka Restaurant and Minyon, W Lounge & SIP Bar and 4 meeting rooms with high-tech meeting facilities, bar and cocktail areas.

The Groups & Events Sales Coordinator is responsible to take care of the groups, meeting and banquet business, being in contact with guests to make sure they are satisfied with teh service, generate and develop new business, support sales team in promotional activities, achieve maximum profits from rooms, conference and banqueting sales. This role reports to the Assitant Sales Manager.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to planning, soliciting and booking groups to enable the hotel to meet and/or exceed revenue goals in rooms and food & beverage; participating in daily revmax meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales related meetings as required; attending trade shows, community events and industry events; developing, maintaining knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.

The minimum pre-requisites for this position is that the candidate is fully conversant in Groups & Events tasks, is enthusiastic about the hotel, is self-driven and has the ability to work on his/her own initiative, displays a willingness to learn and has a focus on Guest Satisfaction.
In addition to those, Groups & Events Sales Coordinator should have

- Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Turkish
- Minimum 1 year of sales/ group sales experience in a hotel
- Excellent computer skills inlcuding, but not limited to Microsof Word, Excel, Outlook, OPERA and be knowledgeable on the hotel`s PMS and Sales & Catering applications.
- Extensive knowledge of sales skills
- Knowledge of competitive market
