AMERICAN CONSULATE GENERAL, ISTANBUL
has a vacancy for a
MOBILE PATROLMAN
who will operate a security vehicle to monitor and inspect guard posts and diplomatic residences located throughout the city to identify and deter criminal or terrorist elements in the area of assignment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma required.
Work Experience: Minimum ONE year of police, military or security related work experience is required.
Language: Good working knowledge (Speaking/Reading/Writing) of English and fluency in Turkish required. This will be tested.
Skills/Abilities: Possession of a valid driver’s license; ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and knowledge of motor vehicle operations; familiarity with the city of Istanbul, locations of U.S. Government facilities and residences; understanding of Turkish Government security apparatus; ability to recognize and solve problems and ability to interact with the public in a professional manner at all times required. The incumbent must be available to work on evenings, weekends, early mornings, U.S. and Turkish holidays.
Military Service: Completion of compulsory military service is required for male candidates.
Completed Application Form (DS-174) and all other required documentation must be submitted electronically to the American Consulate General Human Resources Office.
