KEY RESPONSIBILITY

  • To follow the strategies and instructions set by DOS and SM in order to plan the sales actions in order to reach the targets for Government Sales department.
  • Government Account Manager manages government authorities and agencies in the consideration of account distribution plan and makes analysis for local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads.
  • Collaborate with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts.
  • Account manager works with clients to understand their financial goals, needs, therefore manage their portfolios to drive growth and ensure stability by meeting the high Government Officials and developing the relations.
  • Manage sales systems (RFP’s) to enable leads to be proactively sourced and reacted to in timely manner
MAIN TASKS

  • Follows the instructions of Sales Manager in order to design sales programs and set short and long-term sales strategies.
  • Acts as advisor to the operation departments regarding projects, tasks and high protocol events along with Sales Manager’s tactics.
  • Getting daily VIP & Arrival reports to make sure which guests are arriving to which hotel and informing the related sales person to take the necessary action
  • Ensuring that all reservations are correct, appropriate rooms are assigned for the guests, VIP treatment is done properly for the cluster hotels in coordination with In house Departments, the daily meetings are followed as well as the accommodation and informing the related sales person.
  • Works to build morale between team members and promote teamwork while maintaining a competitive environment.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • May attend local networking events, as needed like national day reception or any other exhibition related with Government institutions
  • Works with various members of the sales team and be a part of the operation
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing markets and to understand customer needs.
  • Making at least 15 sales calls in a week mainly in Istanbul, if necessary in other cities
  • Making at least 4 entertainments in a week
  • Bringing at least monthly 5 group leads to the Cluster hotels
  • Managing the RFP process, local agreements and rate strategy.
  • Selling and promoting the F&B outlets, carpark, Health Club and Laundry to the clients (Total account Management)
  • Updating the clients for the new products and developments
  • Being aware of the budget, forecasts and objectives of Istanbul Cluster and plan and execute the sales actions and reach the objectives for Government Sales
  • Reviewing daily Catering Production reports and directing the team to take the necessary actions with the new and existing leads
  • Prioritizing the groups to follow up in coordination with GC&E Manager
  • Contacting with the bookers and the accounts to follow up a group lead and sharing the updated information with the Group Sales.
  • Following up the media for all political and economic developments, city events reports to be aware of the happenings in the city, new projects to find out new business opportunities.
  • Following up the future meetings and conferences in Istanbul and finding out the opportunities to sell the products in other revenue departments (i.e. carpark, restaurants)
  • Collecting all intelligence, commenting and using the information in sales process.
