Maximize learning and development by providing a creative, fun and exciting environment in the delivery of training sessions
To identify, establish and monitor operational, supervisory and managerial Learning and Development needs and requirements, and provide feedback on a monthly basis to the Director of Human Resources
To produce a monthly Learning & Development report
To support the activities of departmental managers and trainers, and to ensure that all Learning & Development activities are geared towards the achievement of the hotel strategic objectives
To organize and record regular planned Fire, Health & Safety, COSHH, First Aid and Food Hygiene training to ensure that all legislation and Safe & Sound Guidelines is adhered to; as well as recorded and reviewed in conjunction with the Director of Facilities & Operational Safety where applicable
To manage and deliver the 3 month MOve In Orientation Programme including the 3 day Induction for all new starters in accordance with hotel and company standards and procedures
To be responsible for the recording of all Learning and Development activities on the relevant databases
To hold a monthly “Departmental Trainers” meeting together with the Hotel Manager in order to elevate the profile of Learning & Development and promote a greater consistency in the levels of Learning & Development delivered across departments, with a specific focus on departmental LQE’s, Pillars, Mission Statement and Departmental Orientation
To publish any Learning & Development, Awards and Graduations in a fun and engaging manner in the Back of House areas
To organise Graduations of the Food & Beverage and Rooms Management Programme and any other development initiatives i.e. MOve Forward, MOve Up
To produce and communicate a Learning & Development Calendar encompassing operative, supervisory and managerial Learning & Development activities
To administrate the Performance Management System PROFILE for the hotel including providing a 2-day training for new colleagues
To manage and monitor the Education Assistance benefit (E-Cornell etc)
To conduct an annual Learning Needs Analysis and L&D Plan of all departments as part of the Learning and Development strategy for the preceding year
Excellent training and coaching skills
Two years L&D Manager experience in a luxury hotel operation
Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language
Excellent overall communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and power Point
Able to multi-task
Enthusiastic about training, managing and motivating a team
Daily meeting with gardening team to identify top priorities and allocate resources, which may include trees, palms, forest, grass, ornamental plants, ground cover, and landscaping structures (e.g., walkways, water features and lighting)
To support and guide the gardening team to ensure all plant management is carried out according to life cycles and recommendations
To ensure colleagues work according to Safe & Sound guidelines outlined in the hotel’s Health & Safety manualPersonal daily inspection of the landscape to identify quality of plants, irrigation systems and put remedial solutions on place
Create landscape design when needed following construction work and/or operational demands.
Control of the whole resort irrigation system (programs, pumps, water tanks, sprinklers and drips)
Estimating costs and negotiating prices for plants and equipment
Schedule work, planning daily work activities, and monitoring the work being done.
The Landscape Manager is also responsible for training colleagues, especially on safety procedures when large equipment or hazardous materials are involved.
To ensure any accidents to colleagues, guests or visitors are reported in accordance with Hotel procedures.
To attend statutory fire training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning, fire, health & safety.
To undertake responsibility for supervising, training and instructing colleagues in terms of H & S.
Horticultural studies as (life cycles and health issues of the plants ) as well as knowledge or irrigation and pest control
Competent in the use of equipment and tools, which may range from large earth-moving machines to hand tools and Including high experience managing irrigation systems
Good level of English and Turkish.
Experience in working with advertising agencies
Handle all advertising enquiries
Coordinate all collaterals with the agency
Collate all necessary materials for printing
Coordinate all production schedules with the agencies or individually
To liaise with the design company to produce creative and quality mail pieces, working with the mailing house to ensure that the creative piece is appropriate to the audience and adheres to MOHG CID – Corporate Identity
Ensure collaterals and Direct Marketing Materials (such as point of sale cards etc) are created and produced to drive revenue to F&B outlets and Spa
Research ideas for new content for the property web page (guest services, news, offers, etc.)
Following the e-mail blasts for the resort, F&B and Spa, analyse data for assessment of successfulness of promotion and ROI
Attend relevant E-commerce/E-Marketing related webinars, workshops, etc. to keep abreast of the latest tools and technologies
Maintain photo library
Coordinate in-house photography for F&B promotions
Assist Marketing Manager with hotel photography shoot
Keep press kit and photographic library updated
Be familiar with the Group PR Manual
Prepare guest information letters
Record all press enquiries on a daily basis
Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department heads
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the field of PR and Marketing, preferably with a reputable public relations or advertising agency background
Understands the hotels business mix needs and the “brand”
Effective time management, communication and presentation skills
Understands the “life time value” concept of our customer
High energy level, self-motivated, articulate and presentable
Enjoys working in a team environment
Excellent use of Microsoft suite of programs
Excellent use of local language and English
Must be able to work as part of a team, as well as on their own initiative, self driven
Experience in working with and directing advertising agencies
Knowledge of photography and cataloguing processes
Experience in production and printing skills
