Job Overview - The Certified Nursing Assistant, or Certified Nursing Aide, is responsible for supporting medical staff in adminizing care with patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities.
Their duties include patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene, feeding patients / ensuring their wellbeing and assessing their patients vital signs to notify staff of any changes.

Responsibilities andDuties
• Providing physical support to patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, walking, standing, or exercising
• Turning and repositioning bedridden patients
• Ensuring patients or residents receive appropriate dietary dietary dietary reviewing their dietary restrictions, foods, and preferences
• Recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
• Examining patients to detect which issues may require medical care
• Ensuring patients take their medications and supplements
• Noting observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses

Qualifications
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Pass the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program
• Ability to think and work independently and be coachable to facility practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
• High School graduate or equivalent (GED)
• Excellent personal hygiene
• English language proficiency (applies to nurses who have been trained in non-majority English speaking countries)
