Restaurant Genel Müdürü

Key Functions
People Hires, trains, supervises and diciplines all restaurant and bar staff.
Maintains a friendly yet unobstrusive manner with all guests during their dining and bar experience.
Communicates with other departments to ensure a supporting team of professionals.
Communicates with Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager to discuss menus, marketing strategies and guests comments and concerns.
Develops all staff for future advancement with F&B Training Manager; recommends salary adjustments, transfers, promotions and dismissals. Completes and conducts performance evaluations for all employees.
Maintains a daily log for communication between restaurant staff and upper management. Attends and participates in all required meetings. Promotes team works and fosters a harmonious working climate.
Promotes good public relations and handles complaints or concerns of guests’.
Properly handles and reports employee and guest accidents. Performs other tasks and projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.

Product
Develops and maintains an elegantly appointed environment with high qualified staff, dedicated to attentive, distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Posseses a management ability that ensures a successful handling of the dining room.
Controls reservations and seating of the restaurant with regards to service standards. Ensures that the correct and consistent service techniques for various meal periods will be demosntrated by all restaurant and bar staff. Anticipates in advance all materials and supplies, assure their availability.
Controls appropriate usage of service equipments and tools. Observes daily conditions of all physical facilities and equipment in the F&B areas, makes recommendations and improvements as needed. Understands all food and beverage items offered, including ingridients, methods of preparation and proper service; also is an expert knowledge of wines and spirits.
Handles all inventories directly involved with the restaurant and bar operation. Utilizes the computer systems in opening and closing the checks, as well as the cash reports.

Profit
Takes an active interest in the financial performence of the department. Prepares staff schedules which allow for appropriate service while controlling labor costs and overtime.
Forecasts covers and revenues and then schedules accordingly.
Prepares daily and weekly payroll as required by the controller.
Ensures POS systems functions regularly and necessary reports are taken at the end of the day.
