Technical Sales Manager

DATAPARK ISTANBUL, the largest Tier IV Standard data center in Turkey will start serving its clients in 2014.  Developed by KENT DATAPARK, a subsidiary of KENT Development, the 6000 square metre white space facility will be located at just 45 minutes’ drive from Istanbul City Center.

The Role

This is a senior position with responsibility for the technical support of complex customer solutions.  The Technical Sales Manager will play a key role in the continuous improvement of delivery, support and customer satisfaction upon which the business prides itself.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Direct sales activities including lead generation and follow-up in conjunction with the Global Sales Director
• Compiling responses to client bids (RFI/RFP)
• Development of relationships with potential clients and partners
• Ongoing customer relationship development and management - delivery of market-leading customer service
• Liaison with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all of the necessary operational development requirements and objectives
• Comprehensive support of the Sales and Marketing team including pre sales activities (site visits and presentations)
• Contribution to the evaluation and development of the operational strategy and performance in conjunction with the Executive Team.
• Where required, support of the construction team in the delivery of additional data centre space.

Reports To: Global Sales Director

Remuneration

An attractive and competitive package is available for the right person. The amount will be commensurate with the seniority of the role and the experience of the successful candidate.

As a minimum, requirements for candidates include:

• A track record within data centres / mission-critical environments a significant proportion of which must be in operational and technical services management roles
• Comprehensive knowledge of M&E engineering disciplines
• Experience of selling to the financial services, technology and telecommunications verticals would be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, with an ability to explain complex solutions at all levels
• Highly motivated
