Responsibilities

• As Head of IT, the overall responsibility for both the strategic IT direction and the day to day IT operations within the company.
• Budget- and personnel responsibility for the IT department employees.
• Manage and distribute the work and tasks within the IT department.
• Continuously develop company’s IT strategy and the employees in the IT department.
• The IT department is responsible for network and infrastructure, system and application operations, and IT support.

• Strong strategic understanding of IT from a financial and operational perspective. It is important to focus mainly on the business needs and not only on the technology used.
• Strong project management skills and understanding of project methodology. We need to have a clear aim on project scope, targets, benefits and cost, and the IT Manager needs to be able to follow up on these in order to monitor and manage the project risk.
• Experience with budget financials and business analysis. It is important to be able to build a solid business case from both a strategic and financial perspective.
• Experience with purchasing and contract negotiations.
• Preferably experience with IT security and IT audits in order to build a secure infrastructure with an appropriate level of IT cost of risk.
• Communicative People person that are structured and analytical in order to execute on the strategy and vision, and to lead continuous business/IT improvements.

Specific requirements for the position

• Project Management Experience
• Experience within IT security and IT audits
• Experience with software licensing models and licensing compliance management.

Work Experience (professional competence) 

• At least 5 years work experience within IT, with at least 3 years in a managerial position with staff responsibility.
• Have a basic engineering knowledge, experience with terminal service environments, virtualized server environments, network administration and SQL databases.
• Work experience from the finance industry or from the transport and distribution industry.
• Represent an involving, target oriented, and communicative leadership. Drives change and is open minded to the organizational needs.
• Capacity to work independently, and make decision with a strategic view.
• Experience of purchasing and contract negotiations.
• Experience to work with executive management issues and business development.
