- Amirinin verdiği talimatlar doğrultusunda çalıştığı bölümdeki bütün gıdaların hazırlığını yapmak.
- Otele gelen bütün gıdaların günlük kontrolünü yapmak, bozulmaları önlemek.
- Bölümündeki bütün ham maddelerin kalitesinin yanı sıra depolanması ve kullanımını kontrol etmek.
- Kendisine verilen bütün hazırlama ve pişirme görevlerini standartlara uygun ve zamanında gerçekleştirmek.
- Bütün hazırlıkların yapılması ve yiyecek - içecek aktivitelerinin planlanması için kısım şefi ve aşçıbaşı yardımcısı tarafından verilen toplantılara katılmak.
- Sunumlar, reçeteler ve otel standatlarında belirtilen lezzetler hakkında her zaman hazırlıklı ve bilgi sahibi olmak.
