Financial Controller

Purpose of the Position

The Financial Controller will work closely with the Directors across the business. You will be responsible for ensuring a sound control environment and for constantly looking for improvements and efficiencies in terms of the ways of working. You will partner with the CFO and have exposure to senior stakeholders on a regular basis. 

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Responsible for reporting timely and accurate, consolidated balance sheet, P&L and cash flow on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis within tight deadlines
• Provide a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make relevant and timely financial decisions
• Liaise with the internal customers and the CFO in the preparation and submission of the Budget and Rolling Forecasts
• Preparation of management information for key stakeholders, including Executive Board and senior management, on P&L, balance sheet and cash flow variances at month-end and reforecasts
• Ad hoc – other duties and responsibilities as requested from time to time by the CFO

Profile of the Right Candidate

• Must be a qualified accountant (CPA) with SAP knowledge and comfortable working in a fast-paced and commercial environment 
• Experience gained in financial audit (Big 4) for 2-3 years and in the FMCG, IT or Telecommunications sector for 3-4 years would be beneficial
• Self-starter, willing to take initiative, energetic and an excellent communicator through all mediums
• Successful track record of financial management and reporting
