You are invited to our recruitment campaign that will take place in partnership of two leading humanitarian aid organizations: Support to Life and Action Against Hunger, on 9-13 May 2016

Support to Life (STL) is an independent humanitarian agency working in the field of disaster risk reduction, disaster preparedness, and emergency response in Turkey and the surrounding region.  With an emphasis on community participation, STL works at a grassroots level to build local capacity, mitigate the risks and impact of disasters, and support those in need in meeting their basic needs and rights.

In line with its mandate STL currently has the following main activities:

• Refugee Support Program: in response to the increasing number of refugees in Turkey, STL is supporting refugees living outside camps through a cash based intervention and psychosocial services in Community Centres;
• Child Protection Program: STL has been providing protection services and psychosocial care for children affected by seasonal agricultural migration. Targeting both at-risk and working children among the refugees as well as the host community, STL has been supporting children’s education through life skills activities, awareness raising sessions and workshops.
• Civil Society Disaster Platform: In collaboration with partners, STL leads a platform that brings together civil society actors in sharing information and coordinating actions related to disaster management and humanitarian aid in Turkey.

Action Against Hunger (ACF) is an international humanitarian organization, private, apolitical, non- sectarian and non-profit committed to ending world hunger. Action Against Hunger operates in the areas of nutrition, health, food security and water and sanitation for the following situations:

• in case of serious crisis, natural or manmade, threatening food security or causing a famine situation,
• in case of breakdown of the social fabric , linked to internal or external circumstances that place groups of people in a situation of extreme vulnerability,
• where humanitarian assistance is a matter of survival

•        Clinic Psychologist – İstanbul - TURKEY
•        Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer - Şanlıurfa, Hatay, Diyarbakır, Istanbul - TURKEY
•        Finance Officer - İstanbul Asian Side - TURKEY
•        Field Worker – Hatay - TURKEY
•        Procurement Officer - Şanlıurfa - TURKEY
•        Other generic positions related to humanitarian aid

For Action Against Hunger, we are looking for:

Generic profiles:

•        Generalist profiles: Head of Base, Logistics, Finance, etc.
•        Technical profiles: Food Security, Specialist in Nutrition, WASH, Advocacy, Grant Writer, etc.

Specific positions:

•        Head of Project Food Security - PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES
•        Advocacy Coordinator - PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES
•        Protection Coordinator - PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES
•        Logistic Base – LEBANON
•        Water and Sanitation Coordinator - SYRIA

Prerequsite:

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the areas mentioned above or motivation to engage in the humanitarian sector for fresh graduates.
• English is an asset for both organizations. While French is an asset for positions of ACF, Arabic and Kurdish knowledge is an asset for positions of STL
