Executive Assistant   (Based in Gaziantep)

Mercy Corps is an international NGO which responds to humanitarian need during emergencies. For over thirty years we have responded to disaster and conflict situations in over forty countries, assisting the most vulnerable and needy among affected populations and addressing human suffering even in the most challenging environments. This position is with the registered Mercy Corps Representative office in Turkey.


Responsibilities include: Assist Northern Syrian Director in Turkey in setting up meetings with relevant stakeholders both international and local. Translate for Northern Syrian Director in group or individual meetings across country. Assist Northern Syrian Director to perform day to day administrative and coordination assignments. Will make sure Northern Syrian Office is fully equip with inventory and assets in order to perform excellent. Have a clear understanding on all MC policies and administrative needs; Responsible for the smooth running of the following Northern Director Office functions: Reception of visitors, translation in meetings, document translations, photocopies and mail services, telephones and faxes. Maintain and monitor attendance book; alert supervisors to poor attendance records of relevant staff; Translation of any office documentation, as required. Responsible for maintaining contact sheet with stakeholders both international and national for MC Turkey including N Syria as requested – ensuring all contact details are updated and distributed to MC staff and other MC offices as per requirement and authority level. File Mercy Corps documents as required. Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.

Aranan Nitelikler

Qualifications include: Minimum Senior High School degree. Preferable University Degree Excellent knowledge of English Language both spoken and written, knowledge of Arabic desirable Experience in managing day to day administrative tasks. Experience in administrative or operational support functions, including procurement. Good negotiation, representation skills and the ability to work comfortably with ethnically diverse partners and staff.. Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines. Demonstrate good knowledge on handling with computer (spreadsheets, Word Processor and Power Point), Telephones and Faxes.
