Team Leader

The Candidate will be taking the position of the Team Leader in EuropeAid/132841/D/SER/TR Project in SOMA.

The Consultant will provide technical assistance for capacity building of Water Utility Department of Municipality (Capacity building of the Municipal staff to ensure the sound implementation of planned projects and achievement of FOPIR targets), supervision of construction works in wastewater treatment plant project and arranging of existing wastewater collector line and discharge line which will be implemented according to FIDIC Yellow Book, modernisation of Water Utility Department services (to maintain the sustainability and development of water services by upgrading the water services with computer aided design software, geographical information systems and computer models)

The team leader will be in charge of the total management of the project, including, but not limited to, coordination of experts so as to ensure that the inputs of experts are available at the time when they are required, allocation of the tasks within the team, liaisons with the counterparts, financial management and reporting and other tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills;

• University degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical engineering.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Computer skills in Office applications.

General professional experience

• A minimum 10 years required;

Specific professional experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical assistance and/or supervision and/or construction of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Experience in 2 projects including water efficiency planning and/or management, or leak detection or non-revenue water project(s) for water utility companies/ institutions/ departments, etc.
• Experience in 1 project including institutional capacity building project(s) for water utility companies/institutions/departments, etc.; Preparations of documents (projects, designs, tender dossiers, etc.) will not be accepted as capacity building activities.

All of the required experience shall be proven with relevant documets such as;

• Reference letters from previous employers/Clients or Job completion documents
• Social securty records or similar from relevant entities.
• Signed reports/document
