Warehouse Supervisor

Job Designation: Warehouse Supervisor
Main Responsibilities:

Coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product and the picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest levels of productivity. Includes verification of materials loaded and unloaded against the work order or bill of lading and that all damages or problems are recorded.
Implement and enforce material-handling policies/procedures, and regulatory-compliance procedures.
Determine compliance with laws, regulations and/or standards and complete appropriate documentation as required.
Inspect material-handling equipment, racking and dock doors and plates, daily and weekly as required.
Review the warehouse operation throughout the work process and at completion, including daily “circle check” to ensure that all products are stored safely.
Check accuracy of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders.
Oversee dock activity to determine loading sequences.
Train employees, including orientation training, remedial training and training as required on use of equipment, health and safety, processes and customer service.
Collaborate to solve problems and recommend solutions.
Assist in the recommendation of staffing actions and development of staff succession plans.
Provide input into the annual staff-performance process and ensure that all employees have a personal development plan.

RELEVANT REQUIREMENT/EXPERIENCE
Preferably educated to degree level, or of graduate calibre with appropriate experience.
Relocation Eligible: Yes (Relocation may be considered within company parameters).
Computer skills/Good IT knowledge is an added advantage.
Detail-oriented, organized and analytical and must posses strong work ethic and integrity.
Self-motivated and relationship-building abilities with co-workers.
Goal-oriented with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
