Mechanical Engineer

Privately held and fully controlled by its Partners, it has a network of almost 200 people (designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists) distributed in different offices.

Politecnica is looking for a Resident Mechanical Engineer (Key Expert) for the Supervision of Works of Constructions of an Industrial Building in Turkey (Province of Hatay – city of Antakya).

Qualifications required:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-mechanical Engineering
• Good command of English (speaking, reading and writing)
• Full computer literacy
• Experience in using computer aided design programmes (i.e. AutoCAD)

General Professional Experience required

• Preferably 10 years but a minimum of 8 years of general professional experience

Specific Professional Experience required

• Preferably 7 years but a minimum of 5 years of experience in supervision or in construction of mechanical installations
• Experience in supervision and/or construction of at least one project related to the construction of any kind of industrial facility (factory, common use facility, logistic centre etc.).

CV of Expert is required in Europeaid Format – All Qualifications & Experiences shall be proved with Certificates or equivalent evidences.

Time Engagement: 105 Working Days distributed on an overall period of 27 months. Indicative start November 2014. Phases of Engagement:

• Phase 1 (construction period): approx 10/11 months part time on site.
• Phase 2 (defect liability period): part time: 12 months – short missions on site.

Type of Contract: Freelance only (no permanent employment)

Job Description:

The Mechanical Engineer shall be responsible for all activities related to the supervision of the mechanical installations. He/she shall provide services on part time basis in the base of operations until the issue of the performance certificate.

Salary:

Salary to be paid in proportion to the exact number of working days certified on site. A Living allowance will provided by the Company. Flights home/site reimbursed by the Company.
