Team Leader - Civil Eng/Architect

Politecnica is looking for a Resident Team Leader (Architect/Civil Engineer) for the Supervision of Works of Constructions of Buildings in Supervision for the Construction of Increasing Competitiveness of Middle Black Sea Region” (Samsun area)

Job Description

The Team Leader will be available during the whole contract period and be responsible for day-to­day management of the project on site and coordination of the project activities between the Employer, the Works Contractor, the End Recipient of Assistance, and other bodies involved. He/she shall be authorized as the "Representative of the Engineer" and shall provide services on a full time basis in the base of operations. However in the defects notification period (after taking over) and in the period until the issue of the performance certificate, the Team Leader shall provide services in the base of operations on part time bases.

The Team Leader shall ensure development of the additional necessary management procedures as well as necessary QA/QC procedures and that all staffs have been sufficiently trained and possess the necessary know-how in order that all tasks listed for the "Engineer" are carried out professionally. The main functions of the Team Leader will be as follows:

• To manage the project on a day-to-day basis, and to ensure that the project runs on time
• To direct and monitor the progress of the Works Contractor and report periodic progress for End Recipient of Assistance
• To manage the team of experts and resources
• To develop and maintain close links and excellent working relations with all the actors, bodies and Employer involved in the project

Qualifications required:

• Good Command of English + Full computer literacy
• Have an Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or in Architecture
• Full Computer Literacy

General Professional Experience required

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience and more will be considered an asset up to 20 years of professional experience.

Specific Professional Experience required

• Preferably 7 years but a minimum of 5 years of working experience in construction supervision services for buildings (superstructures) on behalf of the Employer. Experience as a staff member of a construction contractor will not be accepted.

• At least 1 year on-site working experience as a project manager or team leader in construction supervision contracts (on behalf of the Employer). Project management experience as a staff member of a construction contractor will not be accepted.

• Experience in the supervision or construction team of at least one construction project implemented with FIDIC Conditions of Contract.

• Experience in claim management will be an asset.
