Quality Assurance Engineer:

Job Describtion:   The Quality Assurance Engineer position deals with all aspects of quality functions for the value stream including inspection, records, site audits and Turkish DGCA and EASA compliance. Provides leadership and direction for QA staff and various levels of inspectors. Maintains and improves a quality system which ensures compliance to regulatory, customer and corporate requirements. As a member of the Value Stream Staff, provides Leadership for the strategic direction and improvement of the business. Drives improvement in key business metrics including CoPQ, Delivered Quality and Customer Quality Scorecards. Leads and coaches relentless root cause corrective action and the effective use of other quality tools in all these areas. 

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for all matters regarding airworthiness and regulatory compliance duties such as:

- Establishing an independent quality assurance system to monitor compliance with Turkish DGCA and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) requirements.

- Preparing standard practices and procedures for use within the Company, derived from approved sources, and keeping them up-to-date

- Ensuring that all statutory and Company's regulations and standards relating to the maintenance, preventive maintenance, alteration and inspection of components, including company quality policies, are complied with and adhered to, and that any such work undertaken by the Company meet the standards required by Turkish DGCA and EASA airworthiness authorities, and organization’s operation specifications.

- Implementing a quality audit programme in which compliance with all maintenance procedures is reviewed at regular intervals in relation to each component maintained (including the management and completion of audits and production of audit reports). He/she should ensure that any observed non-compliances or poor standards are brought to the attention of the person concerned via his/her manager; He/she is responsible for follow up and closure of any non-conformance.

- The issue and control of authorization certificates to suitably qualified personnel in the company to carry out work under the terms of authorization. Issuing /renewal/cancellation of certifying staff authorizations.

- Obtaining and maintaining ISO and various regulatory agencies certification.

- Assessing contractors, subcontractors and suppliers of new and used components and materials for satisfactory product quality in relation to the needs of the organization.

- Defining the human factors principles to be implemented within the organization.

- Reporting the quality issues, trends and topics to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree is required preferrably in Quality Management, minimum 2 years of experience (preferably in aerospace).

-Good level of English in reading, writing and speaking (min. A2 level in CEFR standard)
-Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are essential. 
-Strong understanding and leadership of Turkish DGCA, EASA Rules and Regulations, ISO900 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems (QMS).
-Proven ability to apply measurement, analysis and CI tools to create lasting operational improvements. 
-Able to communicate cross-functionally at all levels of the business - internally and externally. 
-Strategic planning and development tools such as policy deployment. 
-Experience in an SHGM, EASA regulated environment preferred.

-Demonstrated experience with customer focused activities and relationship development.
