Deputy General Manager (Financial Operations)

We are looking for a Deputy General Manager responsible from Financial Operations for our Natural Gas Fired Combined Cycle Power Plant located in Dilovası,Kocaeli.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have following skills:

  • Strong financial accounting skills with min 10 years experience in financial accounting or audit environment. Previous energy sector experience would be appreciated;
  • Graduate from 4/5 year university / business school finance degree. MBA in accounting or finance major is preferred;
  • Public Accountant Certificate (SMMM) is preffered;
  • High level of computer literacy, ERP Systems, MS Excel, accounting and reporting software;
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise, work to deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills. Both written and verbal, ability to support and relay information to abroad;
  • Fluent in English & Turkish written and verbal.
  • No military obligation for male candidates.

Job Description:
Line reporting to General Manager, the succesfull candidate will be responsible for:

  • Manage financial reporting according to IFRS and Turkish GAAP;
  • Balance sheet, Ownership, H&R and payroll, P&L reporting;
  • Production of monthly, quarterly and annual MIS reports and variance analysis on business factors;
  • Supervising tax activities;
  • Handling financial accounting operations;
  • Lead business planning, budget and forecast exercises;
  • Support preparation of the presentations and financial models of the project;
  • Work with related departments and 3rd party advisors, coordinating information sharing and documentation required by lenders/banks;
  • Keep the records and initiates and continues a proper filing of the communication with the lenders/banks under the long term Facility Agreement with banks;
  • Manage financial aspects of the company’s main contracts such as; Operation&Maintenance Agreement, Long-Term Service Agreement, etc..;
  • Periodic corporate finance reporting to participating financial institutions;
  • Report financial issues periodically to the superiors the information gathered from various departments
  • Manage obligations under the existing Long Term Facility Agreements with Banks;
  • Manage on any kind of review, checking or reporting in relation with long term transactions with the banks/lenders,
  • Review processes and controls, identifying and implementing improvements where appropriate;
  • Ensure compliance with external authorities in terms of tax issues, liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion of annual audit and statutory accounts without issue;
