Gökkuşağı Schools is seeking suitably qualified full-time Physics Teachers to join our campuses in Istanbul (Ataşehir) and Bursa (Özlüce) for the academic year 2026–2027.

Successful candidates may be assigned to teach Physics within international programmes Cambridge IGCSE / Cambridge International AS & A Level. As the medium of instruction in these international programmes is English, applicants are expected to demonstrate high fluency in English.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (or relevant teaching qualification/licence),
- Have strong knowledge of child development, up-to-date educational practices and teaching methodologies,
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and commitment to student well-being,
- Be able to build positive relationships with students and the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual and weekly lesson plans in line with curriculum and course requirements
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons to support conceptual understanding and application of Physics
- Understand and implement syllabus requirements and assessment expectations
- Prepare and distribute learning materials (notes, assignments, quizzes, etc.)
- Assess, grade, and provide timely feedback to students
- Supervise/invigilate quizzes and in-school examinations
- Track, document, and report student progress
- Communicate effectively with parents through reports, meetings, and school events
- Contribute positively to the operational and academic success of the school
- Inspire students and foster enthusiasm for Physics
- Assign homework according to school policy
- Maintain punctuality and professional conduct
- Promote high standards of behaviour and build respectful classroom culture
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Head of Department or Senior Leadership Team
- Write academic references and recommendation letters for Grade 11–12 students (university applications)
- Support and/or lead extracurricular activities (Olympiads, Science Fairs, clubs)
- Provide additional support sessions when necessary
- Organise/accompany educational field trips
- Promote effective use of English as the common language of communication
- Participate in INSET and continuous professional development activities
- Stay updated with developments in Physics and education
- Use laboratory facilities effectively and regularly
