ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST/ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Raleigh, Mackay Communications, Inc., dba Mackay Marine, is a global marine electronics service company with over 385 people spread across 41 service depots in fifteen (15) countries including the Americas, Europe, and Asia. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST OVERVIEW
The Accounts Payable Specialist will work with all facets of accounts payable, purchasing, inventory, vendors, andin the accounting department for a growing international marine service provider. Prior corporate accountspayable experience a plus.
POSITION TASKS:
1. Responsible for Microsoft SL A/P coding, disbursements, and research.
2. Researching vendor and depot requests.
3. Bank reconciliations: wires/drafts, outstanding checks, main operating account.
4. Daily Wells Fargo Cash Sheet.
5. State sales & use tax computations and filings.
6. Weekly cash deposits.
7. Matching and disbursing shipping invoices.
8. Monthly credit card reclasses and expenditures.
9. Clears payment made from domestic and foreign bank accounts.
10. Initiate journal entries, when required.
11. Filing vendor documents, as necessary.
12. Accounts Payable coordination and vendor reconciliations, as necessary.
13. Involved in special projects/analyses as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
2. 3+ Years Accounts Payable experience.
3. Prior corporate experience a plus.
4. Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate in a clear, concise, andeffective manner in a fast-paced environment.
5. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting software applications. Microsoft SL preferred.
6. Attention to details coupled with strong quantitative abilities.
7. Consistently meet various deadlines couples with professional demeanor.
8. Self-starter with a high-energy level; able to work independently and/or with the team.
9.Managing Turkish brand accounting operations and able to contact and inform US HQ accounting information.
10.Able to use ERP and local accounting software.
