The A.P.Moller-Maersk Group comprises of different business activities, one of which is Maersk Line – a world leading container carrier.

Blacksea Cluster, consists of Turkey, Romania, Ukraine and Georgia under its scope area, is one of the fastest growing regions for Maersk Line with highest volume of Turkey. Turkey operations department is responsible for all activities related to Maersk Line operations in this geography. Cost control team in operations department has its scope of responsibility covers all terminal, port, feeder and mother vessel, intermodal activities in Turkey.

We now offer an exciting and challenging position as:

Operations Cost Control Analyst

Performing day to day operational cost control activities, analyzing & examining monthly/quarterly reports, finding/suggesting alternatives; so as to decrease the cost overall in line with the cluster targets.

Key Responsibilities
• Drive and lead operational budget preparation, monthly follow up & reporting.
• Support improvement in cost awareness and visibility at all levels.
• Perform financial analysis for operational scenarios to facilitate decision making.
• Support `Contract Management` with the Maersk Line Liner Operations Cluster (LOC) in terms of port/terminal operations and process.
• Analyze and supply feedback for vendor negotiations and follow-up.
• Develop and implement improvements to ensure continuous excellence in vendor cost management.
• Execute any other tasks assigned by cost control team leader.

Qualifications – The ideal candidate should have
• University degree and military status completed for male candidates• Strong sense of urgency, structure, initiative, ownership and competitive drive to get things done
• Pro-active and positive mentality, enthusiasm, ability to work under pressure
• Good command of both written and spoken in Turkish and English are a prerequisite
• Analytical skills enabling to analyze reports in order to understand and explain variances
• Should be an active team player, multi-tasking and prioritizing to meet deadlines/targets in an organized manner, seeking new solutions and open to new ideas
• SAP MM & SD modules knowledge is a plus
• Excellent command of MS applications (especially MS Excel)
