Job Description
- Provides purchasing of direct and indirect materials and services to ensure
- Procurement representation and participation in all issues related to meeting business supply requirements.
- Evaluates materials requirement planning and report substantial issues and associated resolution plans to management.
- Identifies and resolves any issues related to quality, cost, and delivery of supplier and materials.
- Co-ordinates consultant Quantity Surveying Services on major as well as minor projects, including cost estimates, cost plans, value engineering studies, bills of quantities, tender documents, contract documents, valuations, variations, cost reports, contractual claims and final accounts.
- Assists and facilitates the Contract Award of Approval process.
- Manages the processing of internal Contract payment certificates
- Ensures the development and regular review of new and /or improved Em Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Forms (including revisions to Standard Consultancy and Contracts).Ensures the effective administration of Tender, Advance Payment, Performance Bonds, insurances etc and all related contract deliverables.
- Participates in the Tender Committee meetings to ensure the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures in line with the Company’s policy.
- Prepares and maintains Standard Tender Procedures guidelines.
- Performs all other relevant tasks assigned by the Director Procurement.
- Negotiate and allocate material and services requirements, data collection, market analysis, and compliance monitoring.
- Assess variance on estimated/actual on various stages of work & report to Director, Procurement & Cost for effective timing, budget and cost control.
- Assist the Director, Procurement in achieving the schedules for effective time/cost managementA
- Analyse detail cost, expenditure reports to attain budget levels.
- Monitor and report Budget vs. Actual for each development and report potential budget overruns.
- Approve all procurement memos, purchase order forms, interim payment forms, bills and monitor costs control codes for each bill and related payment.
- Prepare and issue Procurement reports
Required Skills
- Hold, preferably, an engineering degree of a recognized university
- Be fluent in EnglishHave completed the military service (for male candidates)
- Have 7-8 years experience preferably in the contracts / procurement activities
- Have specific experience in the contractshave specific experience in the tendering procedures/applications.
- Experience in ERP, procurement /supply chain project deployment
- Competencies required are analytical, interpersonal, diplomatic skills.
- Planning and communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines in multi- discipline environment.
- Practical, result oriented problem solver
- Experienced in convincing people and managing interpersonal relations
