We are looking for a full-time Senior DevOps Engineer who will be part of our culture of passion,
innovation, communication, empowerment and push it even forward here at Dogan Media
Software Team.
We are looking for ambitious guys or gals who knows what they are doing when it comes to
DevOps practices, has a constant eye for doing things better, and will be the bridge between
operation and software teams by coming up with cutting edge solutions and presenting them
with strong interpersonal skills.

Your primary responsibilities will basically be;
- Leading our DevOps efforts with an ability to make decisions in wide range of topics
- Choosing, deploying and managing tools and technologies to build and support a robust infrastructure
- Doing constant research and keep up to date on trends on DevOps related concepts
- Designing infrastructure for scalability, resiliency, performance and security aspects of products
- Identifying bottlenecks and providing solutions to improve performance of all our systems
- Communicating and collaborating with other team members, discussing and communicating technology ideas and issues with peers and management
- Ensuring all necessary monitoring, alerting and backup solutions are in place
You should have;
- Ability to code and script
- Battle-tested experience in the area with an ability to display knowledge about risks and pitfalls about the used approaches
- Knowledge on software life-cycles, communication protocols, network structures
- Knowledge on clustered, high-availability system architectures,
- Understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability on Windows and Linux/Unix server platforms
- Experience in build, dependency resolve, packaging and bundling tools and approaches of common frameworks
You should have experience in;
- Continuous integration tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, ConcourseCI, LambdaCD
- Monitoring tools like New Relic, Zabbix, Prometheus, Nagios
- Deployment solutions like Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes
- Provisioning tools like Saltstack, Puppet, Chef, Ansible
- Log managements solutions like Sumologic, ELK stack or Splunk
- Service discovery and configuration tools like Consule, Zookeeper
- General experience in versioning systems, tools and approaches like Bitbucket, GitUp or concepts like Chat-Ops
- Caching systems like Varnish, Redis, Squid
- General experience and familiarity with distributed systems
- General experience in HTTP servers, load-balancers, proxies
- General experience in NoSQL database systems
It would be nice to have experience in other tools and languages we like to use over here
like Python, Nginx, PostgreSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Elasticsearch, MongoDB or Atlassian software
development and collaboration tools. Also, involvement and contribution to Open Source
projects is a big plus!
