Finance Manager

We are  the pioneer of international flight support services for corporate aviation, we are arranging, coordinating and providing complete services in support of a trip for corporate aviation operators worldwide. Services range from global ground handling, permits and crew accommodations to online flight planning and a fuelling card program.

 Offices in over 20 countries throughout the world supporting clients that represent organizations that rely on corporate and private aircraft.

 Currently, we are looking for a Finance Manager for our operation based at Istanbul Airport.

Main activity

Develop and managing a finance department to support the business, and ensuring its’ day to day running. Monitor performance of the different business units; prepare budgets & monthly accounts while ensuring compliance with the corporate finance policies. There is scope to develop this role.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

 

1. Works with Regional Financial Controller (RFC) and local management to provide financial analysis support and recommendations for all new projects & initiatives including financial projections, valuation and sensitivity analysis.

2. Provides financial input to other members of the management team in preparing plans and proposals for clients.

3. Manage the accounting team and processes to ensure routine processing of individual transactions.

4. Produce monthly reporting package and reporting schedules. Investigate variances and provide commentary and

reports

5. Safeguard the asset of the company, eg regular fixed asset inventories, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts etc.

6. Preparation of annual statutory accounts

7. Works with RFC & local management to prepare the local budgets

8. Implement a system of budgetary control that enables contingency plans to prepare for any variances that arise, as

well as keeping business units informed of YTD spending vis-à-vis budgets.

9. Ensure VAT applied correctly to transactions during processing of transactions.

10. Review of quarterly VAT return to ensure correct and timely submission

11. Ensure timely review and filing of annual corporation tax return.

12. Manage the cash-flow of the company including regular cash-flow forecasts

13. Perform credit checks for new clients, and ensure timely payment of invoices

14. Manages the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives,

providing career counseling, feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.

15. Support regional & corporate projects as required

16. Support MD & Regional Financial Controller as required

17. Develop external relationships, for example; solicitors, bankers, tax authorities, auditors etc.

 

Job Specifications

 

- University Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

- Recognized professional qualifications

- Minimum of 8 years directly related experience in which 3 years in managerial capacity in multi-national company

- Track record in interpreting and analyzing financial risks, gains and impact for business investment projects

- Hands on experience in using MS Office and financial systems

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Strong work ethics and ability to manage multi-task in a rapid growth environment
