Duties and responsibilities

Maintaining bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
Communicating with clients and customers to request and arrange payments
Recording and tracking payments in databases
Updating client accounts based on payment or contact information

Accounts Payable Specialist will include

Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
Processing due invoices for payments
Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts

Skills and qualifications
A successful Accounts Payable Specialist will have a mix of organizational and analytical skills.They should be able to work out numbers, generate reports and find discrepancies as well as cost-saving opportunities.Other qualifications may include:

Excellent command of both written and verbal English,
Knowledge of general accounting principles and finance
Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
Great organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
Advanced computer skills and proficiency with ERP Systems, Dynamics Navision preferred.

Experience requirements

The right person for this role should have a minimum of an associate’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in accounting.
