Finance Manager

An international company with HQ’s in Europe, which is very customer oriented and further expending their up and running operations in Turkey, is currently seeking to fill the position Finance Manager, located in Istanbul, to support and co-lead the company with the country manager while reporting to the CFO in European HQ’s.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and assure accurate accounting processes, general ledger and financial operations
• Work towards optimization of processes and structured financial control systems
• Manage financial and business controlling
• Manage all annual, month-end and quarterly closing activities
• Full accountability for Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statements and cash flow reports
• Prepare financial reports in accordance with IFRS and GAAP (VUK)
• Proceed budgeting, rolling forecasting and participate in strategic planning
• Report and advise management on financial resources, trends, and result of operations
• Monitor tax related issues, legal processes, banking relations and funding issues
• Keep professional contact with all external & internal stakeholders; public authorities, auditors, tax advisors, banks, corporate controller, sister companies, and operations department

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting in a Turkish university
• At least 5-10 years of combined professional experience in Turkish accounting, finance and controlling
• Certified accountancy is a plus
• Auditing, controlling and management reporting approachKnowledge in VUK and IFRS is a must
• Leadership and management skills to manage a team of 1 accountant and junior controller
• Mother tongue Turkish, fluent in English, German is a plus
• Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills
• Proactive and flexible towards changes and priority management
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and balance multiple priorities
