Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, training and development programs by reporting to the General Manager of HMSHost Istanbul which is located at Sabiha Gokcen Airport.

The major areas directed are:

• Responsible for all Human Resources aspects such as recruiting, support in personnel issues, organize and conducting internal training courses, handling of all administration regarding personal as well as salary and payment coordination as established by Turkish Law and HMSHost International,
• Prepare payroll datas and follow up the social insurance tasks and rules in coordination with payroll provider,
• Tracking and monitoring quality and ambitions of co-workers, by means of performance interviews; making proposals regarding career development,
• Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement and high performance,
• Working close with the management at each location to establish the policies and procedures of the company and that they are being instilled and monitored,
• Working close with H&S Specialist and company doctor for H&S regulations, follow and enforce the company H&S standards as set by HACCP and OSH,
• Responsible for preparing staff records up to date such as assessment forms, warnings etc,
• Ensure correct, up to date personnel records are kept in line with GDPR and local labor law requirement KVKK,
• Oversee the annual engagement survey, ensuring maximum participation is achieved,
• Handles and supervise all related work permit procedures at the airport and issue regular reports as required,
• Assist with preparing the annual HR budget and Operational manpower plans, Compensation and benefits administration,
• Performing other work related to the above on the orders of the General Manager

• Preferable graduated from departments of Social Sciences,
• Minimum five years HR experience in an international environment, Hotel and Catering back round preferable,
• Good experience providing and coordinating training to staff preferable in the hospitality industry,
• Good knowledge of labor law and Turkish legislation,
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office,
• Excellent communication and organizational skills,
• Integrity and confidentiality,
• Fluent in English and Turkish language (written and spoken),
• Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment,
• No military obligation for the male candidates,
• Prefer to live/will live in Istanbul Anatolian Side.
