Java Developer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Participate   in requirements analysis phase and contribute to the high level as well as   detailed product specification documents when required.
•   Recommend  nhancements, improvements, and innovations to the existing technology and   recommend the development of new solutions and technology prototypes.
•   Conduct   unit, integration, performance and, if required, system testing in a timely and cost-effective manner.
•   Establish technical documentation by writing design and test documents as well as drafting initial versions of product manuals for the corresponding parts.
•   Perform and support field installation/system integration of the products as well as acceptance tests, if required.
•   Attend Presales activities, customer workshops, and kickoff meetings.

•   BSc degree from the Engineering Departments of reputable universities (preferably Computer Science or Electrical and Electronics Engineering ).
•   Open-minded, willing to learn, with strong work ethic, self-motivation and ownership.
•   Good   team player w/ solid collaboration and multi-tasking skills.
•   3+years of hands-on object-oriented software development experience in Core Java and J2EE.
•   3+years of hands-on experience with Linux and/or Unix systems.
•   Good understanding of computer and communication protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, and FTP.
•   Good understanding of SOA concepts and WebServices (SOAP and RESTful).
•   Experience in DB programming (SQL, JDBC) and ORM persistence frameworks (Hibernate,   JPA).
•   Experience in Java web development concepts (Servlets, JSPs, tag libraries, filters, and   war files) is a plus.
•   Experience in more of the listed Java tools/libraries is a plus: Jetty, JUnit, Guice, Groovy, and ActiveMQ.
•   Experience in large-scale software development, software lifecycle & release management.
•   Experience in using source code management tools such as GIT and/or CVS.
•   Experience in using software build and automation tools such as Ant and/or Maven.
•   Experience in development and integration with multi-layer software stacks.
