Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
BİR DÜNYA KOLEJİ is looking for qualified NATIVE  ENGLISH TEACHERS for the academic year 2020-2021 for its preschool and primary in Beylikdüzü, İstanbul, Turkey.  
At least 3 years of teaching experience in ELT and/or bilingual education in kindergarten and primary levels , with latest approaches and techniques.
Qualifications Required:
  1. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in ELT (English Language Teaching), ALL (American Language and Literature), ELL (English Language and Literature), TIS (Translation and Interpreting Studies)
  2. Candidates must have evidence that they are competent users of English with one of the following exam scores:YDS/YÖKDİL – 85, CPE – B, TOEFL iBT – 102, PTE Academic – 81, IELTS – 7.5
  3. Candidates with an English & American literature degree must also have one of the following certificates:TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA which are recognized by the Turkish Ministry of Education. Pedagogical Formation Certificate is a must for Turkish candidates.
  4. The position will involve teaching students in years 4 to 10 and also assisting in the encouragement of extracurricular activities.
  5. Candidates must be motivated individuals with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to love learning and excellence in the subject area of English. Candidates must be dedicated to interactive, learner-centered teaching methods,

Candidates must have the following:

  • High motivation, organizational skills and dedication to professional attitude,
  • Advanced ICT skills in education,
  • High level of personal organization and planning skills,
  • Strong communication, instructional and classroom management skills,
  • Teaching experience in student-centered and active learning styles,
  • Teamwork skills: maturity, humility, strong work ethic, follow-through, sense of humor, willingness to respond positively to feedback and a “roll-up-my-sleeves” attitude,
  • Candidates must be eager to build classroom spirit for students' academic success and development of REACH values; REACH stands for Respect, Enthusiasm, Achievement, Citizenship and Hard work.
  • Being a non-smoker is preferred.

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE:
  • Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by HR department for a call interview.
  • An appointment will be set for an interview to figure out mutual expectations and for  a demo lesson on a topic specified by Head of  Department with a detailed lesson plan.
  • Successful candidates will be offered a contract by General Manager.
