CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

We are looking for candidates to recruit at the Gold Mine, operating in Uşak, Kışladağ. The Kışladağ Gold Mine is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Canadian Mining Company Eldorado Gold.

Job Description:

The Construction Manager is responsible for managing the construction of the project. Utilising leadership and construction expertise, the Construction Manager leads, monitors and guides the contractor through the process of construction and provides management with reliable budgeting, control, guidance and progress reports.
 

Specific Responsibilities:
 

• Oversee day to day operations to ensure construction is conducted in a safe manner, within budget, on schedule and in accordance with the appropriate standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate, guide and manage construction personnel and the owner’s team
• Ensure scope, design and objectives are defined, and detailed work plans, schedules, budgets and procedures are established
• Review and implement project control systems designed to measure progress/performance, provide early warning of deviations from plan and identify corrective actions to be taken.

• Bachelors degree in civil, construction or mechanical engineering,
• 15+ years of construction and project management experience in a heavy industrial environment
• High attention to detail and high standard for quality
• Strong knowledge of construction systems, scheduling, costs and contracts with solid knowledge of project management tools, including relevant computer software
• Ability to manage ,schedule and budget on large projects
• Proven ability to successfully manage large projects, budgets and cost control
• Ability to properly manage, assess and prioritize resources, people and projects
• Sound decision making ability
• Very good command of written and spoken English,
• Team player, with strong leadership skills in order to build and manage teams within a multidisciplinary environment
• Must be able to communicate with others on the team as well as senior management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges
• Ability to work in a high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
• Demonstrated proficiency of MS Office products (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, etc.)
